AC/DC

I just want to say a few words about THE BEST concert I have been to since, well since about 21/febuary/1982! On they came to the roar of the fans who have been waiting for this moment for a. very. long. time. The set they used was pure genius the big mahoosive graphics to get the crowd going were nothing short of, "jaysus that's fecking class". They gave the crowd everything they wanted and more! I saw grown men cry and women get "the jack!" when "thunderstruck" arrived i got sooo excited a little bit of pee came out!

now what do i do!

Weighing in at Nineteen Stone

AC/DC - A. Mazing.

On one hand I was raging that I'd forgotten my camera, but on the other I was glad I could just enjoy the crazy-ass motherfuckin' show that Angus, Brian et al put on in the Point and not worry about dropping it or trying to get a picture with no hands in the way. Too much bare, sweaty, badly tattooed man torso and the fact that not all the sweat on us was our own made no odds as it was easily one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Where else would you get a giant runaway train crashing onto the stage, a sixty foot Rosie riding said train in her knickers (my favourite bit), firing canons and a ten minute guitar solo wankathon? In two words: AWE. SOME.

Well played, boys.

EDIT: I forgot to add that the Bear and I also saw a blonde bird on some guy's shoulders get her tits out. It would appear that these things do happen in real life. Nice pair and all, but definitely fake.

Wii Brain

It's probably a sign that I've been playing too much MarioKart Wii lately when I dream about being chased by a red shell and recall thinking; "Dammit, it's a heat seeker though, how the hell am I going to get away from this!?"

When of course the obvious thing to do is throw another shell or banana skin at it before it hits me, only I had neither at hand.

No results found. Please adjust your search and try again.

Yeah well maybe I would "adjust my search" if all I wanted to do wasn't in fact graphic design, and print design at that, you lousy search robot. I really shouldn't have spent four years in college pretending web design didn't exist and sticking my fingers in my ears shouting LA LA LA at the mere mention of Flash or Dreamweaver. So now all job ads for graphic designers include landmines such as "interactive design", "online graphic design", "knowledge of Flash, HTML, CSS" and all print designers can shag off because we don't need them or want them and they smell weird anyway. Bastards. As it happens, the two most suitable jobs I've come across happen to be back where I'm from in Waterford. And as much as I like heading back to the Déise of a weekend, moving back there altogether would make it only a matter of time before I start naming the paperclips on my desk and making friends with them. And that might be fun for a while, just me and my paperclippy buddies going on office based adventures but it would most likely get old rather quickly. Alternatively, there have been one or two jobs lurking in the shadowy outskirts of my search, sneering and rubbing their dirty hands together, as they are jobs in the dreaded signage industry, which I spent about ten months working in after I left college and would not go back to for love nor money nor my very own B.O.B. voiced by Seth Rogen.

Le sigh.

Adventures in Lismore

The Towers! Lismore Castle! Eight quid a head to get into the gardens for a look around? I don't bloody think so.

Scaling a ten-foot stone wall in skinny jeans and cowboy boots to break into the grounds of a castle, while tricky, is in fact achievable.

Falling Over and Shameless Promotion of a Band I Like

Last week, whilst walking home in the sunshine, I was happily bopping along to this Dead Flags song, enjoying the sunshine and generally not looking where I was going. My happy clappy mood was soon altered though when a ninja cobblestone beside chq conspired to trip me up, resulting in me hopping myself off the not at all soft ground. It was the kind of fall I hadn't experienced since I was aged eight and fell on the tarmac driveway at my cousin's birthday party, hopped up on jelly and ice cream and possibly a funsize Mars or three. Probably. My first thought wasn't anything to do with how embarrassing it was (and it really was) though, as the area was all busy with IFSC minions and the like, but rather: "None of these fuckers are helping me up! Bastards!" And this is what happened to my poor little knobbly knee:

So although I was blaming the aforementioned Dead Flags for my injury, I just couldn't stay mad at them and attended their superfun gig in Whelan's last night, which was indeed both super and fun. I'm heading home home to Waterford with the Bear this weekend and we're going to catch their gig in Clonmel of all places, seeing as it's nearby. Oh yeah, and they're staying in my house that night cos I'M SO FUCKING ROCK AND ROLL that I'm bringing a band home ow oww! Clicky here to marvel at their wit and general cleverness in an interview they did for drop-d.ie and get on over to their website for a listen to the kind of songs that'll distract you from impending leg injury and general bruising. In a good way of course.

Kate Moss new collection

So herself has produced a new collection for topshop. I wasn't much of a fan of her stuff before. Black skinny jeans and white tee's with a cutout at the back was hardly ground breaking design. Although her second collection ( i think it was second, the one with the red halter dress anyway) was much better and this new collection is better again.

My favourite is this sequin striped vest. I love it's simplicity and how all you need is a pair of jeans and some killer heels to work it! It's only £50 on the website which I think is very good. However I can imagine how much it costs here about oh lemme see now €1,000,000, give of take a few thousand! grr.....

The guna's are not half bad either have look here, clicky!

I just realised my keyboard has no hash button.
I had to kidnap that one from a Raptureponies post.
Don't worry RPs, I'll mind it.
